About the Sudbury lived Experiences Project Survey
WE INVITE YOU TO SHARE YOUR EXPERIENCE/STORY IF:
You have a story to share, as a participant or witness, about an identity-based experience (based on race, ethnicity, religion, partisanship, national origin, religion, socio-economic status, (dis)ability, gender, gender-identification, age, or sexual-orientation);
AND
You are a Sudbury resident OR someone who has another connection to Sudbury (through work, travel, school, or other local affiliations).
WHAT TO EXPECT IN THE SURVEY
When you tell your story, we ask that you anonymize all aspects of your story. If identifiers are given, they will be omitted before we make the final report available to the public.
This form will ask you:
If the story you are sharing happened to you, or if you are sharing it on behalf of someone else;
If you'd prefer we keep the story confidential, or if the story you are sharing can go on public record (and if you'd be interested in sharing it in a future forum);
To write about what happened (where, when, how, etc.);
How others responded;
How the experience made you feel, and/or impacted your life;
How you wish the experience would have played out;
What sort of change you'd like to see in Sudbury;
Demographic questions.
This survey (link above) will take ~10 minutes to complete (depending upon how long it takes to write your story). We will provide question prompts to help you tell your story. Should you wish to share additional stories, you may submit more than one survey. Survey submissions are not limited.
Privacy and confidentiality: We will report on aggregate data (e.g., number of story types) from the survey, whether it is marked confidential or not. All raw data will be stored on a private server, and a limited number of project participants (researchers and interns) will have access to stories and data marked as "confidential."
NOTES:
As you complete the survey, your responses will be saved, even if you do not submit the survey. To finish, click on the survey link again to continue where you left off.
In some cases, it may be helpful to organize your thoughts or write your story ahead of time in a separate document, then cut and paste the story into the survey.
Our intention is for this survey to be accessible to all. Do you need an accommodation or require assistance to complete this survey? Please email us at sudburylivedexperiences@gmail.com.
